Ari Fremder (They/Them)
Ari is a multidisciplinary artist who is heavily influenced by their many intersecting identities. They work as a lighting and compositing artist for the animation industry and outside of work prefer the more traditional medium of sketching and oil painting. In recent years, they have moved to doing more digital based paintings most of which are self portraits and artivism. Art has been an instrumental form of communication for Ari especially in coming out to their family as transgender. Being autistic means not always having words to communicate, so art expresses things they cannot say with language. One of their biggest special interests is light which heavily influences all their artistic works.
